Manned Freewing Aircraft

Freewing Aerial Robotics Corporation has also built and flown a number of manned Freewing aircraft. These include both ultralights and light planes. Two of these are shown here: the Freebird MK-IV and the Freebird MK-5. Each of these has about 40 flight hours. The Company is currently producing only UAVs, largely because of products liability rules in the U.S.

Nevertheless the Freebird series gave us the experience of working with the pivoting wing concept at much larger scales than the current Scorpion or Manta UAVs.
